Can you pay for AliExpress purchases in British pounds?
Yes. AliExpress supports British pounds both as a display currency and as a payment currency. If you select GBP, product prices and the final order total will be shown in pounds sterling, and you will be charged in that currency. You can also choose US dollars or euros on AliExpress if you prefer.
How can you tell which currency AliExpress will actually charge you in?
Check the currency of the final total before confirming payment. Usually not. If AliExpress charges you in British pounds and your card account is also in GBP, no currency conversion is required, so a standard non-sterling transaction fee will not normally apply. It is still worth checking the terms and fees for your specific card.
